I use the Japanese Fuji brand also, what I have noticed is CD's like Dicks Picks sell, last and look great forever it seems. I wonder what brands the commercial companies use.
They appear rock solid

Typical commercial CDs are pressed from a master (mechanically pitted, if you will), rather than burned (laser-marked on a dye layer).
